Democratic Presidential Candidate
Bill Richardson - Rating
Profile
Rating |
Status:
Governor Bill Richardson withdrew from the 2008 Presidential race after
a candidacy that while colorful, fell short of gene
rating momentum.
Bill Richardson's well-rounded resume, includes service as a
Congressman, Ambassador to the United Nations, Secretary of Energy and Governor
of New Mexico. The United Nations Ambassadorship is valuable foreign policy
experience and the Energy Secretary position seems to have shaped his strong stance against
dependence on foreign oil.
On the other hand, as an active Roman Catholic, Bill Richardson adheres to the un-
evangelical
teachings of Roman
Catholicism except on
abortion and
homosexual marriage; he is pro-abortion and pro-gay
civil unions. He also supports embryonic stem cell research.
Governor Bill Richardson's
deep resume makes him a potential candidate for a relevant cabinet post,
but his un-
Christian and
anti-
conservative
social
values platform
should be kept out of the Oval Office.
Our rating of his candidacy for the Presidency of the United States is a
D+.
