Ron Paul's social platform is pro-life, death penalty included, but Ron Paul wants the laws of the states, not the federal government, to outlaw abortion. His stance keeps him from supporting a federal law that defines marriage as between one man and woman, thus making him soft on homosexual marriage ban. On the economic front, Ron Paul is a proponent of balanced budgets, reduction of America's national debt, and small government, including the elimination of the federal departments of Energy, Commerce, Interior, Education, and Housing and Urban Development.
