Rick Perry - Christian
(continued
from
Rick Perry Positions)
Rick Perry has repeatedly mentioned his Christian faith in the media but
always in general terms, and Rick Perry has yet to share his Christian testimony
in response to
Questions for Christian
Candidates as requested and reminded.
Rick Perry appears firmly opposed to
abortion and
homosexual marriage but lacks a
robust economic policy, foreign policy experience and presidential intellect.
That actually would be fine if Rick Perry demonstrated an
unabashed Christian faith and reliance on God, who can bless him
with wisdom as he blessed Solomon, another novice national leader who was in over his head.
Solomon was blessed after demonstrating his reliance on God by sacrificing a
thousand burnt offerings. Rick Perry can start to demonstrate his reliance
on God by publicly apologizing to Robert Jeffress
(
reason)
and retracting his defense of the
Mormon cult,
which blasphemously claims
that
Jesus and Satan are brothers.
At
'The Response' held at Houston's Reliant Stadium on August 6, 2011, Rick Perry
famously prayed:
"Lord, you are the source of every good thing.
You're our only hope... Father our heart breaks for America... As a nation, we
have forgotten who made us, protects us, blesses us, and for that we cry out for
your forgiveness... You call us to repent, Lord, and this day is our response.
We give it all to you."
And at Liberty University on September 14, 2011, Rick Perry exhorted the students to:
"Live in faith. Do not fear the
judgment of others or the uncertainty of the future. Don't muzzle your voice
because you are young. Paul wrote to Timothy and said, 'Do not be ashamed of
your youth.' You have the right like every American to speak your mind."
Rick Perry can walk his talk by testifying about his
God of Justice.
His present presidential candidacy rating of
D+
takes into consideration the risk of a failed Rick Perry presidency blemishing
the name of the Lord on whom he claims reliance (see
Lord, Liar or Lunatic?).
