Imagine also that she remained in her coma for several years, during which time the baby growing in her reached full term and was delivered by caesarean section. When the woman wakes up from her coma, learns that the child near her is hers from the incestuous rape and requests the child to be killed, would you kill that child? If you wouldn't, why would you kill the child while he or she is inside the womb? Incest and rape are heinous and despicable crimes for which the perpetrator deserves the full punishment under the law. But the child in this case is another victim of the crime, not its perpetrator. Justice for a crime requires the punishment of the guilty party, not the murder of an innocent, whether inside or outside the womb.
