Sarah Palin is a Christian. The third of four children, Sarah Palin's Christian journey began when her mother, the spiritual force in the Palin home, began to take Sarah and her siblings to the churches in her area. When Sarah Palin was 12 years old, she was saved as a Christian and baptized at the Wasilla Assemblies of God. By the time she was in high school, Sarah Palin was leading her school's Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the prayers for her basketball team before their games. At each of the universities she attended, including University of Idaho, from where she received her Bachelor of Science, she sought out and remained involved in Christian circles. Her theology sharpened in her adulthood, as she moved from Assemblies of God to solely Bible-based churches. When a reporter recently enquired about her religion, she replied, "Christian."
