A Roman Catholic married to a Mormon, Senator Chris Dodd's lack of foreign policy experience, despite his long tenure in the Congress, is an issue for the conservative vote, including the pivotal evangelical vote within the Christian vote. To most values voters, his pro-abortion, pro-embryonic stem cell research and pro-homosexual marriage positions remain eminently unappealing.
