Newt Gingrich Wife

Newt Gingrich - Wife

Newt Gingrich Wife(continued from Newt Gingrich Beliefs)

Furthermore, during his interview with Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) earlier this year, Newt Gingrich spoke about his wife.

(Newt Gingrich married his third and current wife, Callista Bisek in 2000 after carrying on an extra-marital affair with her during the 1990s. Newt Gingrich divorced his second wife, Marianne Ginther, shortly before marrying his current wife. And he married his second wife after carrying on an extra-marital affair with her while married to his first wife, Jackie Battley.)

Newt Gingrich has admitted:

"There’s no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate. And what I can tell you is that when I did things that were wrong, I wasn’t trapped in situation ethics, I was doing things that were wrong, and yet, I was doing them. I found that I felt compelled to seek God’s forgiveness. Not God’s understanding, but God’s forgiveness. I do believe in a forgiving God. And I think most people, deep down in their hearts hope there’s a forgiving God." (Newt Gingrich to Christian Broadcasting Network on March 8, 2011)

God is forgiving (see Justice of God) but His forgiveness comes after the sinner sincerely repents of his sins, which in the case of Gingrich's serial extra-marital affairs, according to him, were his hard work and patriotism.

Newt Gingrich has yet to respond to our questions below about his positions, but has indicated in the past that he supports a Constitutional amendment that defines marriage as between one man and one woman, as well as abortions except in cases of rape of incest (see Is Abortion Murder?).
