"What about abortions performed early on
during the pregnancies?"
When does an early abortion stop being early?
The notion of an "
early abortion
" is changing. Initially,
non-Christians didn't consider a baby
to be human until after birth. With the advent of prenatal
imaging technology, that gave way to acknowledging
the
personhood of the baby prior to birth, and increasingly earlier in the pregnancy
as those and other medical technologies advanced and continue to advance.
The two photos below can easily be added to the
earlier photos (graphic!). The first photo is of a 16
week old baby (earl
y second trimester) and the second photo is of a baby who is
just 8 weeks old (first trimester). What do you think? Do either of them not look like babies to you?
If you're considering an earl
y abort
ion, consider this. A generation ago, before
pre-natal imaging became popular, women routinely aborted babies during the
third trimester after assurance that they will not be killing a baby. Today,
they live with the guilt of having killed their own babies.
If you have an earl
y abort
ion today after assurance that you
won't be killing a baby, how will you feel in a couple of decades when continued scientific
advances redefine the baby you killed as a human being? Aren't the photos above
evidence enough that the baby inside you is human?

early abortion pill but decided against
it after visiting this page and the
