"What about abortions performed early on during the pregnancies?" The notion of what are "early abortions" is changing. Initially, non-Christians didn't consider a baby to be human until after birth. With the advent of prenatal imaging technology, that gave way to acknowledging the personhood of the baby prior to birth, and increasingly earlier in the pregnancy as those and other medical technologies advanced and continue to advance. The two photos below can easily be added to the earlier photos (graphic!). The first photo is of a 16 week old baby (early second trimester) and the second photo is of a baby who is just 8 weeks old (first trimester). What do you think? Do either of them not look like babies to you?
What about in cases of rape or incest? Should abortions be allowed at least in cases of incest or rape? (Update: Read an email from someone who was about to take an early abortion pill, but then viewed this webpage and the abortion is murder page.)
