Herman Cain Beliefs

Herman Cain - Beliefs

Herman Cain Beliefs(continued from Herman Cain Religion)

During an interview after the Nevada GOP presidential debate, Herman Cain acknowledged that he lacked specific knowledge about Mormon beliefs. Still, Herman Cain said that he respects Mormon beliefs, and asserted:

"It's all about what are your values. And I think that is what is important, not necessarily your specific religious set of beliefs." - Herman Cain, October 18, 2011

Coming from a pastor, these are disappointing words. What is most important to Christians are not "values" but Jesus and His honor. How can any Christian, let alone a pastor, say that he respects beliefs that blasphemously claim Jesus and Satan are brothers?

What exactly are Herman Cain's Christian beliefs? Herman Cain has yet to answer our questions for presidential candidates, and the interviews Herman Cain has given to other Christian organizations have focused on Herman Cain's political beliefs, not his religious beliefs.

In 2009, however, some of Herman Cain beliefs became evident in an article title, "The Perfect Conservative". While branding Jesus as "The Perfect Conservative", Herman Cain expressed beliefs that contradict the Bible and raise questions about this pastor's knowledge of the Bible:

"And everywhere He went, it turned into a rally, attracting large crowds, and giving them hope, encouragement and inspiration." - Herman Cain, December 20, 2009

"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades." (Luke 10:13-15)

"He never condemned what others believed - just sin, evil and corruption." - Herman Cain, December 20, 2009

"But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:8-9)

While preaching on February 13. 2011 at Rock Spring Church in Milner, Georgia, Herman Cain explained why God blesses America: "God is on our side because he's been on our side from the beginning."

This is a dangerous and mistaken assumption for our next President to have, for if being "on our side from the beginning" were the requirement for God remaining on the side of a nation of people, Israel would never have been crushed and sent into exile.

The Bible shows that God is on the side of His people when they are faithful to Him. When we turn away from God, the Bible shows that He withdraws His provisions, not out of hate but out of love, to have us turn back to Him, whom we need more than prosperity or even security.
