Consider some sobering statistics about the Internet and marriage:

- 30% of all internet traffic is pornography

- 46% of the visitors to pornographic websites are men and women in marriage.

- 55% of married men view pornography at least monthly.

- 90% of 8-16 year olds have viewed pornography on the internet.

- The first exposure to internet pornography occurs on average at 11 years of age.

- The number of pornographic emails sent daily is 4.5 per internet user.

- 89% of world's pornographic webpages are hosted in America.

Just as smoking destroys our health, pornography, including on the internet is destroying marriages, the minds and souls of Americans, both those in and out of marriage, corrupting our children and fanning untold numbers of sexual crimes, including against children.

Individual responsibilities abound but given the accelerating growth of (internet) pornographers, it is time to push our government to confront the US porn industry, whose annual revenues of $13 billion exceed the annual revenues of National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Basketball Association (NBA) combined.
