Rick Santorum - Islam

Rick Santorum Islam(continued from Rick Santorum Christian)

Rick Santorum has been a vocal opponent of radical Islam. For example, Rick Santorum warned about radical Islam at Ave Maria University:

"We are being challenged by radical Islam from the exterior. So as America and the cultural wars and the spiritual wars is (sic) engaged here in this country we are having to fight an external war from another spiritual enemy: the forces of radical Islam." (Rick Santorum speech, August 2008, Ave Maria University)

Is Rick Santorum right about radical Islam?

Rick Santorum's comment above errs in two ways. Firstly, Rick Santorum's "radical Islam" insinuates the existence of some non-radical Islam that is peaceful. Is this true?

When a self-declared Christian kills people, he contradicts both the examples and the words of Christ and therefore disproves his self-declaration. But when a Muslim kills people, he actually is obeying both the examples set by Muhammad, a successful warlord, and his words to:

"Slay the infidels wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush." (Koran 9:5)

As Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey once declared:

"There is no moderate or immoderate Islam; Islam is Islam and that's it."

Secondly, the danger from Rick Santorum's "radical" Islam isn't just "from the exterior." It is already inside America. For example, CAIR and other Muslim Brotherhood groups that portray themselves as peaceful were exposed and named "unindicted co-conspirators" of the Texas-based Holy Land Foundation, which was convicted in 2008 of financing Islamic terrorists.

Why do they remain "unindicted" co-conspirators?

When the local prosecutor filed pleadings with the court to prosecute them in 2009, the newly installed administration of President Obama, who received 89% of the Muslims' votes in 2008 and personally knew many of the Muslims to be indicted, 'communicated' with the local prosecutor, who was quickly appointed a U.S. Attorney and suddenly no longer felt the need to proceed with the planned prosecution.
