Born in Massachusetts to French Canadian parents, Mike Gravel moved to
Alaska as a 26 year old in 1956 and represented Alaska in the United States Senate for 12
years until 1981.
While announcing his candidacy for President, the 77-year old Mike Gravel
stated, "I was raised a Catholic and I have fond memories of those
experiences. As an adult I joined the Unitarian Church, which accepts many paths
to spiritual experience." That acceptance, and the entire premise
of the Unitarian "church" contradicts Christ, who declared, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father
